The rig that was made popular by a major bass tournament win last year is illegal to use in New Hampshire.
The
Alabama rig isn't really a lure but rather a rigging device that allows
the use of multiple artificial lures connected to one line. Similar,
but somewhat different, to an umbrella rig commonly used by saltwater
trollers.
The NH Fish and Game website has a picture of an Alabama rig: http://www.fishnh.com/Fishing/alabama_rig.html.
NH
didn't pass a new law banning the rig. Rather under their rules and
regulations it has always been illegal to use in NH or any other rig
that allows for more than one lure to be attached to a line.
